Welcome back Boilermakers! The ME Undergraduate Office will be sending a monthly newsletter with important dates and topics. These newsletters will also be accessible on the office website

Add/Drop Deadlines

If you need to make changes to your schedule for the fall semester you need to be aware of the following dates:

  • Last day to make changes to ME courses - August 27th
  • Last day to add a class - August 27th
  • Last day to drop a class and not have it on your transcript - September 4th
  • Last day to drop a class an receive a W - September 18th
  • Last day to drop a class and received a W or WF - October 24th

When is my advisor available?

As the new semester begins, it is important to know how to find your advisors availability. All the ME advisors have walk-in hours each week to see students. You can check the calendar online or you can always check at the front desk in ME 2008. These hours will change each week so make sure you check before you come in! Please note, you need to be in the office at least 10 minutes prior to the end time of your advisors walk-ins to be seen.

The University has launched a new system for those that work with students called BoilerConnect. You will make appointments, and in some cases communicate with, your advisor through BoilerConnect. You simply log in with your career account and all the information is readily available! Check it out at!

Check the blog

Don't forget to check the ME Undergraduate Blog frequently for important information about internships, courses, study abroad, and more!

Get involved with student organizations

Now is the time to consider joining a student organization. Many groups will begin having call-out information meetings in the next few weeks. Involvement in student organizations can be great resume builders and can connect with you other students who share similar interests. You can consider one of the car teams, ASME, PESC, the 3D Printing Club, or many others. You can find information on ME student organizations at this link: You can find information about other student organizations on BoilerLink:
