Erik Braun secures National Defense fellowship

Congratulations to Erik Braun, who received a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship (NDSEG), covering three years of doctoral studies for researchers in disciplines of military importance. Erik studies laser diagnostics for combustion under Terrence Meyer at Zucrow Labs, currently focusing on Coherent anti-Stokes Raman Spectroscopy (CARS).

Congratulations to Veeraraghava Raju Hasti, who has received the Gordon C. Oates Air Breathing Propulsion Graduate Award from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). Hasti studies with professor Jay Gore at Zucrow Labs.

Step up: New solution for lofted beds

File this under "why hasn't anyone ever thought of that?" An in-built step for lofted dorm room beds, to help people get up to the top bunk where there is no ladder. Now in the process of being patented, it was created in ME263 Sophomore Design class by Elvin Garayev, Andrew Bowman, Dalton Garrett and William Yount.
