Presenter Bios

Dr. Thomas Huston is a Professor in the Mechanical and Materials Engineering (MME) Department within the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) at the University of Cincinnati.  In addition, Dr. Huston serves as the Co-Dean of the University of Cincinnati - Chongqing University Joint Co-op Institute (UC-CQU JCI), an innovative collaborative educational program between Chongqing University and the University of Cincinnati.  He is the Director of the Design Clinic for MME.  Dr. Huston has extensive international teaching experience.  During the summer semesters of 2016 and 2017, Dr. Huston taught at Chongqing University as part of the UC-CQU JCI.  He has developed and presented seminars and programs to visiting international students from Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU) and Future University of Egypt (FUE).  Dr. Huston, was invited to lecture as a Visiting Professor at FUE in Cairo, Egypt.

Wei Wei, assistant professor educator of Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Cincinnati. He develops and teaches electrical engineering classes and coordinates senior design teams in the department. He is also actively involved in the University of Cincinnati - Chongqing University Joint Co-op Institute (UC-CQU JCI), an innovative collaborative educational program between Chongqing University the University of Cincinnati.

Stéphanie  Gallaire has been an associate professor of  English and French for  Foreign Learners at the Université de Lorraine, Nancy, France for 12 years.  Since 2014 she has been the Director of International Relations for the School of Energy Engineering (ENSEM). In this position or in the courses she teaches, the cross-cultural aspect is of major importance.  Since 2017 she has been involved in several projects with an multi-cultural dimension and aiming at strengthening ties between international students and partners .

Eugene Rutz MS, PE serves as Academic Director in the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Cincinati.  His responsibilities include academic and administrative oversight of the Master of Engineering programs, eLearning initiatives in the college, and the college's accelerated bachelors plus masters programs.  Eugene also helps to coordinate faculty-led study abroad and collaborative virtual projects working with international strategic partners.
