Best poster at InterPACK

Taylor Allred, a Ph.D. student under research associate professor Justin Weibel, has won the Nasser Grayeli Best Student Poster Award at InterPACK, the International Technical Conference and Exhibition on Packaging and Integration of Electronic and Photonic Microsystems, in Anaheim, CA.

Taylor's work involves observing the effect of superhydrophobic, superhydrophilic, and non-uniformly wetting surfaces on pool boiling performance.  His poster was entitled, "The Critical Role of Dynamic Surface Wettability on Bubble Dynamics and Boiling Performance," Taylor P. Allred, Justin A. Weibel, Suresh V. Garimella.

Taylor is a part of the Cooling Technologies Research Center, a National Science Foundation research center that explores high-performance heat removal from compact spaces.
