Tips for Submitting Your POS Change Requests: 

  1. Make sure to submit as final, not draft, when it’s ready to be reviewed.
  2. When replacing a course that was approved on your initial POS, make sure to replace it with a ‘like’ course, even if being taken in a different semester. For example, if you’re replacing a course being used for your math requirement, it needs to be replaced with another allowable math course.
  3. When replacing a course, use the REPLACE tool. DO NOT use add and delete options.
  4. DO NOT add additional credits to your POS. Your initial POS has been approved for the credits needed to meet degree requirements. We do not approve additional credits to be added to your POS. Extra courses will still show on your transcript, but do not get added to the POS.
  5. If adding a concentration program to your POS, please send to Sheri, dill3@purdue.edu, the acceptance email into the concentration program. (Professional Master's in ME is a residential concentraion program, not an online concentration program, so do not add this concentration program.)
  6. When REPLACING a related course, make sure to REPLACE with another related allowable course.  Same as with primary classification.
  7. If you’ve been approved to add transfer courses to your POS, you need to use the ADD tool to add the course as it appears on your other transcript (their course number and title), and then you would DELETE the course it’s replacing. You cannot use the REPLACE tool.
