Presenters Bio
Niall A. Peach is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. He specializes in Transatlantic Hispanic Literature of the 19th century. His current interests surround ecocriticism and questions concerning environmental justice, environmental influences on the formation of the self and self in environment (sympoiesis), as well as the role of nature in nation formation and citizenry in the early, Latin American and imperial 19th century. In his work as a graduate assistant for the Global Engineering Alliance for Research and Education (GEARE) led to curriculum development projects uniting the humanities and engineering.
