On Saturday, July 25th, Purdue Mechanical Engineering faculty conducted a Science and Engineering workshop at Imagination Station in downtown Lafayette for sixth through ninth grade students to experience hands-on experiments with heat, light and power. Experiments ranged from building a working camera to wiring a potato battery. Faculty conducting the workshop included: Amy Marconnet, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering; Liang Pan, Assistant  Professor of Mechanical Engineering; and Kejie Zhao, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering.
