Teams of Purdue mechanical engineering students have developed novel prototype projects involving autonomous robots, bacteria identification, and achilles tendon monitoring. The teams competed for the Malott Innovation Awards, given to the best senior design project of the fall 2025 semester.

The Purdue Grand Prix is a springtime go-kart racing tradition. Now, organizers have launched a second race known as the Halloween Hundred. This 100-lap race features 25 teams, and is a unique test of persistence and determination. In the October 2025 race, the Motorsports Engineering Club in Indianapolis took home the trophy.
