Brett Klosterhoff receives 2015 SB3C Best Paper Award
Brett Klosterhoff, who was an undergrad research assistant in Prof. Bumsoo Han's lab, received the Best Paper Award (2nd Place) in the BS level Student Paper Competition in Biotransport, Tissue Engineering, and Design & Devices at the 2015 Summer Biomechanics, Bioengineering and Biotransport Conference (SB3C) held at Snowbird, UT from June 17th to 20th. The SB3C is the primary meeting of ASME Bioengineering Division. In his paper, entitled "Quantitative visualization of drug response of breast cancer cells within a three-dimensional extracellular matrix," he developed a new analysis technique to quantify the action of cancer drug on different cancer types. The paper was co-authored with Kyeonggon Shin, a MS student of Prof. Han, Prof. Craig Dutton from UIUC and Prof. Han.
