We continually work to keep our research and education in a leadership position among ME Schools.  One of the mechanisms the School has used since the early 1990's is to invite global leaders from industry, national labs, and academia to serve on the Mechanical Engineering Advisory Council (MEAC). They meet annually with faculty and students and advise the School on curriculum and research directions, and assist in raising funds for capital and program initiatives.  The Council has played a crucial role in the recent successes of the School.
