Congratulations to our Graduate Scholarship winners!

With more than 700 graduate students, Purdue ME recruits the best and the brightest minds in engineering. A select few have now received scholarships to further their research and education.

Gill Scholarship

The Harnek and Malkit Gill Graduate Mechanical Engineering Scholarship is awarded to graduate students pursuing a master’s degree in the school, and who has spent at least 24 months in India.

Vaidyannath Harinarayana

Vaidyannath's research focuses on one-photon polymerization and two-photon polymerization in additive manufacturing of micro and nanoscale three-dimensional structures using femtosecond lasers.

Shubham Agnihotri

Shubham's research focuses on future mobility technologies, for a sustainable future of transportation.

Hillberry Scholarship

The Ben M. Hillberry Graduate Scholarship In Mechanical Engineering is sponsored by the students and friends of Professor Ben M. Hillberry in honor of his years of dedication to the School of Mechanical Engineering. The scholarship is for ME graduate students with a preference for students studying in biomechanics or materials.

Joshua Pribe

Joshua studies fracture mechanics and additive manufacturing with Thomas Siegmund.

Ruixin Li

Ruixin works with Jong Hyun Choi studying nanotechnology.

Kohr Scholarship

The R. H. Kohr Graduate Student Fellowship in Mechanical Engineering is funded by the R. H. Kohr Educational Memorial Fund in memory of Mechanical Engineering professor Dr. Kohr. The Fellowship will support ME graduate students in the general areas of simulation, which was Dr. Kohr’s main field of academic interest.

Sansit Patnaik

Sansit works on structural mechanics and dynamics at Prof. Fabio Semperlotti's lab. His primary research interest is in the field of non-linear mechanics.

Prabudhya Roy Chowdhury

Prabudhya works on thermal transport physics in materials and nanostructures, useful for a variety of applications ranging from high-speed electronic devices to alternative energy systems.

Lambert Fellowship

The Ward A. Lambert Graduate Teaching Fellowship is a two-semester program that awards PhD students who are mentored in education by a faculty member, and then go on to teach that faculty member's class.

Parveen Dhillon

Parveen works on sustainable technologies, specifically in the development of HVAC system and control design.

Rishabh More

Rishabh is developing computational tools to investigate the motion of active and passive bodies in incompressible fluids and understanding the underlying physics. The research involves studying the motion of self-propelling microorganisms and settling particles in a stratified fluid in order to evaluate its impact on the oceanic mixing. The other project explores the micromechanics of the rheology of dense suspensions that find applications in food processing, solar cell and other industries involving suspensions or colloids.

Akhil Vijay

Akhil focuses on simulation of fatigue in tribological systems.

Stevenson Scholarship

The Warren and Judy Stevenson Graduate Scholarship in Mechanical Engineering is desired to encourage mechanical engineering graduate students to study and pursue research in areas related to applied optics.

Yancheng Du

Works with Jong Hyun Choi studying nanotechnology.

Vishnu Radhakrishna

Vishnu studies laser diagnostics for combustors and propellants with Chris Goldenstein.
