With so many opportunities moving to a virtual platform, this fall is an amazing time to learn about graduate school. This list includes online presentations, virtual events, and national conferences. Register and attend some or all! If you don't know where to start, I've noted my top pick for you below.

Fall 2020 FREE Virtual Events and Presentations at Purdue University

Purdue Application Tips. September 17, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Come learn about the graduate application process from Dr. Jackie McDermott in Purdue Engineering. We will walk through different pieces of the Graduate Application as well as how you can prepare a competitive application!
Graduate School Funding. September 23, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Dr. Janet Beagle, Sr. Director of Graduate Programs in Purdue Engineering, will share an introduction to graduate school funding and some tips for finding funding.
Big Ten+ Graduate School Expo. October 4-5 If you attend just one event this year, this is my top recommendation! Normally this event charges a registration fee, but the online platform has made this year's event more accessible than ever. Grad Expo is your virtual one-stop shop for learning about top-ranked graduate programs in the STEM disciplines. Workshops, networking, and a graduate school fair with Big Ten and peer institutions. Break-out rooms with faculty and graduate students to learn more about Purdue research areas and insider application tips. Free registration. Purdue University Engineering Education Open House. October 15-16 Learn more about this growing discipline that was founded at Purdue. Register here (free!) to attend the virtual open house.
Graduate Diversity Visitation Program. October 28-29 (Apply by October 2!) Application is open to U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents, and DACA recipients from diverse backgrounds interested in applying to Purdue for graduate study. Learn more about Purdue and visit specific programs of interest virtually! Free application fee waiver to Purdue for those students who are selected and attend. Apply here.
Biomedical Engineering Sessions. Various Dates. Biomedical Engineering programs across the country have created a robust virtual event series for fall 2020. More than 60 universities are participating in this initiative, which will include multi-university panels, graduate school fairs, and program informationals, all held virtually! National Conferences
If you attend any of this year’s virtual conferences below, stop by our online booth to talk to a Purdue representative. All of these events offer an application fee waiver to Purdue if you stop by our booth and complete a contact card. Please confirm event dates, times, and details with the conference, since exhibitor times are still being finalized for many of these events!
