Engineering shines in latest U.S. News grad school rankings
Purdue's School of Mechanical Engineering is ranked 8th in the nation, among those that have graduate programs. Among the top 10, Purdue is by far the least expensive (for in-state residents), demonstrating Purdue's commitment to offer exemplary value for an exemplary education.
U.S. News and World Report bases its rankings on annual survey of all participating colleges and universities, whose members rank each other on a variety of factors.
Among other Purdue Engineering schools that made the top ten for graduate programs: Agricultural and Biological Engineering (#1 in the nation); Aeronautics and Astronautics (#6); Civil Engineering (#6); Electrical Engineering (tied for #8); Industrial Engineering (tied for #9); Computer Engineering (tied for #9); and Nuclear Engineering (tied for #10).
