Purdue race cars to be featured at Chicagoland Speedway

Purdue's student-built race cars will be on display at this Saturday's Camping World 300 race at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois.

 

Purdue's student racing teams have finished their seasons, and are celebrating by displaying their cars at the Chicagoland Speedway this Saturday, June 29.  This includes the mini-Formula car, the Baja off-roader, and the 300-volt Electric car.  The students who designed and built the cars will also be there to talk to visitors about the cars and about motorsports at Purdue.

The display will be at Champions Park, the grassy area outside the grandstands.  Gates open at 9:00 a.m. Central time on Saturday (no tickets are required to visit Champions Park).  The race starts at 2:30 p.m. Central.
