Purdue Engineering's Raman confirmed as U.S. undersecretary of commerce for standards and technology
Arvind Raman, the John A. Edwardson Dean of the College of Engineering at Purdue University, on May 18 was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as undersecretary of commerce for standards and technology and also will serve as director of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
