Gambaro Graduate Program of Aeronautics and Astronautics

The Purdue University School of Aeronautics and Astronautics is among the top aerospace engineering programs in the nation and is ranked 5th by the U.S. News and World Report in aerospace graduate programs. 

A transformational gift to AAE was made by alumnus Ernest Gambaro and his wife Monica to endow and name the school’s graduate program. The name — Gambaro Graduate Program of Aeronautics and Astronautics — was approved by Purdue’s Board of Trustees on Dec. 7, 2018.

During Fall 2019, we had 550 students with 214 in the Ph.D. program and 128 in our distance learning programs. During the 2018-19 academic year, the School graduated 123 MS and 37 Ph.D. students. The School began offering non-thesis MS AAE degrees in the fall of 2006 to off-campus students via Purdue Online Learning. See AAE's Distance Graduate Education Program for more information.
