Avi Kak is a professor of electrical and computer engineering at Purdue. His main interest lies in developing sensory intelligence for the machines of the future. Toward that end, his lab has produced key results. His laboratory’s credo is that sensory intelligence for machines must be demonstrated using real data, since practically anything can be shown to work with synthetic data.
