Dr. Daniel J. Meyer

President and Chief Executive Officer
Cincinnati Milacron, Inc.

Daniel J. Meyer
We do much of our planning within our research and development efforts, and my electrical and mechanical engineering backgrounds are extremely helpful when I meet with research. My engineering education . . . was a critical factor in my reception in a technology-based organization like Cincinnati Milacron.

Daniel J. Meyer, received his BSEE from Purdue University in 1958 and his MBA from Indiana University in 1963. Meyer was associated with the accounting firm of Touche Ross & Co. as a manager of management services before joining Cincinnati Milacron, Inc., a company noted for the production of quality machine tools.

Meyer joined Cincinnati Milacron in 1969 as director of corporate accounting and became president and chief operating officer in 1987. In 1990 he assumed the additional responsibilities of chairman of the board. As head of the corporation, Meyer has implemented an aggressive company-wide program to improve product and cost competitiveness in global markets. The results have been an impressive increase in quality and a reduction of as much as 50% in production time and 40% or more in product cost.

Meyer has served on the Board of Trustees of the Greater Cincinnati Area United Way, the Greater Cincinnati Area Community Chest and the Commercial Club of Cincinnati. He is a member of the Board of the Purdue Research Foundation and a member of the American Management Association, General Management Council. Meyer was named a Distinguished Engineering Alumnus in 1988 and received an honorary doctorate in 1992.
