Purdue Graduate Engineering Represents at BRASA Summit Americas
Purdue Graduate Engineering was represented at the BRASA Summit Americas, a conference that took place at Columbia University in New York from October 19-20, 2024. The BRASA Summit Americas event is a significant opportunity for Purdue to showcase its top-ranked engineering graduate programs and to connect with prospective Brazilian students interested in pursuing graduate studies in the United States. BRASA, the Brazilian Studies Association, is an international, interdisciplinary group of scholars dedicated to promoting Brazilian studies across various fields. The organization's primary goal is to foster the study of Brazil worldwide, with a special focus on advancing Brazilian studies in the United States. BRASA members do not have to be Brazilian to join or experience the benefits of membership.
The BRASA Summit Americas is the largest conference organized by Brazilian university students abroad. It serves as a platform for students, professionals, and academic leaders to exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore opportunities for collaboration. Bruno cesar Krause moras, a current PhD student in Purdue’s School of Civil Engineering and a Graduate Engineering Navigator, represented Purdue Graduate Engineering throughout the conference. He provided insights into life as a graduate student researcher as he engaged with and mentored prospective graduate engineering students. This event provided an opportunity to showcase Purdue Graduate Engineering master’s and PhD programs from its 14 schools/divisions. Purdue Graduate Engineering's presence at the BRASA Summit Americas aligns with its broader strategy to engage with top academic talent pools in engineering and to promote its graduate programs internationally.
