For the 23rd time, Purdue College of Engineering staff members were recognized at the Staff Awards of Excellence celebration. A record number of nominations were received this year: 79 individual nominations, including staff from the Indianapolis campus, and 14 team nominations.

Arvind Raman, the John A. Edwardson Dean of the College of Engineering, welcomed the staff, faculty and guests for the Dec. 13 event at the Purdue Memorial Union, and chronicled achievements made by Purdue Engineering as it celebrates 150 years.

“None of these incredible achievements would have been possible without each of you,” he said.

The dean’s Staff Affairs Committee is responsible for reviewing all nominations and selecting the award winners each year.

“This celebration is truly a highlight of the year for the College,” said Will Sondgerath, senior assistant dean for staff and administration. “We are recognizing leadership, hard work, dedication, a positive outlook, teamwork and going above and beyond what is asked of us.”
