ENE's INSPIRE Gift Guide earns kudos for Cardella and Gajdzik

Monica Cardella and Elizabeth Gajdzik, leaders of Purdue’s INSPIRE Research Institute for Pre-College Engineering, received positive media coverage leading up to the 2018 holiday season.

Publicity about the guide was featured in such prominent publications as Forbes and Smithsonian Magazine.

The pair were commended by Purdue President Mitch Daniels, who said he is “thrilled to see the Gift Guide continue to gain momentum as one of the best resources for people to find fun and educational gifts.”

The annual guide is filled with fun toys, games, books, and applications to engage children ages 3-18 in engineering thinking and design.

Cardella serves as director at the institute and is an associate professor of Engineering Education, while Gajdzik is assistant director.
