The Environmental and Ecological Engineering major, leading to a B.S. EEE degree provides an environmentally-focused curriculum. The degree program uses an integrated systems perspective to teach cross-disciplinary problem solving skills and has environmental and ecological engineering as its central focus. We are seeking ABET accreditation for the B.S. EEE degree.
A Minor in Environmental and Ecological Engineering is available. The minor requires six courses (17-18 credits), including two required courses, two option (choose one of two) courses, and two selective courses.
The Engineering for the Planet Learning Community (LC) for first-year students is sponsored by EEE. Students in this LC share a part of their class schedule, attend co-curricular activities related to environmental and ecological engineering, and have the option of living in an LC residence hall. Incoming students interested in the Engineering for the Planet LC should visit the Purdue Student Access, Transition, and Success (SATS) website in early spring for more information.
