ABE Champions Cultivate the Future

Presenting to the agBOT Challenge judges, Elliott Sass and his Purdue teammates looked far from formal. Stains on their pants mapped precisely where they had leaned against their robot as they made final modifications. Though the team was hard at work for months leading up to the event, they made adjustments until the literal last minute. The hands that passed a microphone between teammates were stained with grease, accented by blue dye used to spray ragweed.

William A. Crossley named head of Purdue School of Aeronautics and Astronautics

William A. Crossley has been named head of Purdue’s School of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He will assume the position of J. William Uhrig and Anastasia Vournas Head of Aeronautics and Astronautics on July 20, the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, Mung Chiang, the John A. Edwardson Dean of Engineering announced Friday (May 24).

Discovery Park congratulates Purdue's first Draper fellows

The Institute for Global Security and Defense Innovation (i-GSDI) at Discovery Park has secured Purdue as a participant in the prestigious Draper Fellow Program. Through the Draper Fellow Program support, Purdue graduate students will be immersed in Purdue’s research environment and also will take advantage of the Charles Stark Draper Laboratories’ facilities, collective knowledge and experience.
