3 Engineering faculty receive NSF CAREER awards
NSF Faculty Early CAREER Development Awards, the most prestigious NSF award for junior faculty, have been awarded to professors Ann Rundell, Zheng Ouyang, and Demetra Evangelou.
Demetra Evangelou, assistant professor of engineering education, received a $400,000 grant to support research on “Developmental Engineering: An Examination of Early Learning Experiences as Antecedents of Engineering Education.”
Zheng Ouyang, assistant professor of biomedical engineering and electrical and computer engineering, was given a $550,000 award to support research on “Development of a High Efficiency Mass Spectrometry System.”
Ann Rundell, assistant professor of biomedical engineering, was granted a $400,000 award to support research on “Advancing Model Predictive Control of Cell Differentiation.”
