Jamieson honored for excellence in engineering education

Leah Jamieson, the John A. Edwardson Dean of Engineering and Ransburg Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, will today (4/23/15) receive the Rochester Institute of Technology's first Kate Gleason Medal for Leadership in Engineering Education.

RIT's Kate Gleason College of Engineering established the award to recognize the influential role that academic leaders of engineering colleges play in creating the engineers of tomorrow. Leah will receive the award during a ceremony at 1:30 p.m. today (April 23) in RIT's James E. Gleason Building, Rochester, New York. Following the awards ceremony, Jamieson will present a lecture to students and faculty on her vision for the future of engineering education.
