For me, being a Black engineer means that I have the privilege of serving as proof that Black people not only have a place in engineering, but that they can contribute immensely to the field as well.

Biography

Arianna earned a BS in civil engineering from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) in 2019 and is currently in her second year of the civil engineering masters program at Purdue University. In Fall 2020, Arianna was awarded the Dwight D. Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship to further her research into equitable transportation systems. Arianna plans to remain in Dr. Nadia Gkritzas Sustainable Transportation Systems Research Group to pursue a PhD and advance knowledge in the realm of equitable transportation systems and policies.
