Michael Harris earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Purdue University in 1991. He is currently a VP at Amazon, where he is the Chief Product Officer for Ring and Blink, the security companies within Amazon’s Devices and Services Organization. Mr. Harris joined Ring in early 2017 and came over to Amazon in 2018 as part of the acquisition of Ring.

Prior to Ring, Mr. Harris worked in the consumer electronics industry for more than 30 years, where he founded and guided multiple startups to acquisition and/or IPO. His work has taken him through the DVD, Connected TV, IoT, and now the Smart Home Security spaces. Outside of work, Mr. Harris serves as the board chair of the REC Foundation, a global nonprofit promoting STEM education for kids through competitive robotics. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and rooting for the Boilermakers.
