Digital-based Sports Execution System
Next-generation sports engagement and management systems are being revolutionized by new sensor and IoT technologies and the miniaturization of devices. The Ray Ewry Sports Engineering Center is focused on the development of relevant “sports execution systems” emerging from advanced data gathering and data analytics in highly-dense information flow environments. These tools will analyze information from the athlete and optimize venue accessibility by tracking categories such as transportation, security, utilities, and staff levels and display real-time cost analysis during events. Incorporating localized, current data from IoT devices and sensors communicated over state-of-the-art mobile networks will give event managers the flexibility to identify bottlenecks in spectator flow and changes in cost distribution in real-time and enable them to react accordingly.
