Description: Pi Tau Sigma is the International Honor Society for mechanical engineers and a member of the Association of College Honor Societies. Our mission is to strive to create better engineers through commitment to academic excellence and dedication to service. Purdue's Beta chapter organizes regular service events, socials and professional development opportunities for its members.

Requirements for joining: Students must be pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering and in the top 20% of their class. Members are invited to pledge for a semester, after which they are inducted as members.
