ChE's Gounder receives DOE funding for early career research

The Department of Energy has selected 84 scientists from across the nation — including 30 from DOE’s national laboratories and 54 from U.S. universities — to receive significant funding for research as part of the DOE Office of Science’s Early Career Research Program.

ME PhD student Xue receives Best Paper award at ASA conference

Yutong (Tony) Xue received the Best Paper by a Young Presenter Award in Noise for his paper “Fibrous material microstructure design for optimal structural damping.” Tony presented his paper at the Spring meeting of the Acoustical Society of America in Minneapolis, MN. He is currently working on his PhD with Prof. J. Stuart Bolton.
