Amy Glenn, Associate Director of the Office of Future Engineers, will be receiving a Growing Leaders award at the National Leadership Forum June 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Glenn is receiving the award: “for her efforts in promoting student leadership opportunities within the Office of Future Engineers and across Purdue University, collaborating with the Krannert School of Management, Purdue Athletics, Purdue University Residences, the Purdue Polytechnic Institute, and Student Success; as well as developing and hosting elective 'Habitudes' leadership programs for students in the College of Engineering.” Habitudes uses images and stories to convey messages about challenging topics, to get key messages across and help our students in the College of Engineering grow both personally and professionally. Hosting these regular professional development sessions also allow students to network with the professional staff, including Office of Future Engineers leaders, in a more casual and open environment.

Recipients are selected based on: their proven effectiveness as a leader of the next generation, their innovative leadership methods when attempting to connect with the next generation, and their commitment to the Growing Leaders mission to “turn ordinary students into Growing Leaders who will transform society.”

Growing Leaders is an international organization founded by Dr. Tim Elmore that provides resources to equip students with leadership development skills that empower them to use their gifts to serve the world around them.
