Armstrong Hall becomes home to more space history

At a ceremony Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, in the Kurz Atrium of Armstrong Hall, representatives of Boeing Corp. joined Leah Jamieson, the John A. Edwardson Dean of Engineering, in unveiling a replica of the X-20 Dyna-Soar space vehicle — a forerunner to the space shuttle.

Three members of the College of Engineering faculty will make presentations at 1 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 14, in a free webinar titled, "You Can't Graduate Them if You Don't Admit Them: New Admissions Policy = Higher Percentage of Women Enrolled."

College of Engineering undergraduate programs ranked among nation's best

In the just-released US News & World Report national rankings of undergraduate programs, Purdue ranks 8th among engineering programs at doctoral-granting universities. The new ranking, up from 9th last year, ties Purdue's undergraduate engineering programs with those at Carnegie-Mellon and Cornell. Last year, Purdue was tied with Cornell and the University of Texas at Austin.
