Appenzeller receives NSF funding to advance energy efficient computing

The Purdue Spintronics research group, led by Joerg Appenzeller, Barry M. and Patricia L. Epstein Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Scientific Director of Nanoelectronics in the Birck Nanotechnology Center, has received National Science Foundation (NSF) funding for a center that will focus on probabilistic spin logic for low-energy Boolean and Non-Boolean computing to advance energy-efficient computing.

Alvarez to give keynote address at Environmental engineering event

Pedro Alvarez, the George R. Brown Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rice University, will give the keynote address Feb. 2 at the 2018 Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors Distinguished Lecturer Conference.
