Dr. Ekaterina (Katya) Babintseva

Dr. Babintseva is a historian of science and technology specializing on the history of computing and artificial intelligence. She received her Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania in 2020. Her research has been supported by the Charles Babbage Institute for the History of Computing and Association for the Computer Machinery. She also received awards from the IEEE History Center and the National Academy of Education. Katya joined the History Department at Purdue in the Fall of this year. Prior to that she was a postdoctoral fellow in Science and Technology Studies at Harvey Mudd College.
