Challenges and Opportunities for Electric and Automated Aircraft
Abstract
Following the PEDLS lecture, a group of Purdue faculty members with expertise in airports, air traffic management, aerodynamics and aircraft design, and the human - automation interface will join Prof. Hansman to discuss what needs to be done to make electric and automated aircraft safe and practical for operations in the near future. The panelists will provide their viewpoints on the biggest challenges and the most promising opportunities. The audience will be encouraged to ask panelists questions relevant to this emerging and exciting area of endeavor in aerospace.
