The College of Engineering will recognize the election of John W. Sutherland, Professor and Fehsenfeld Family Head of Environmental and Ecological Engineering, into the National Academy of Engineering with a celebration at 3 p.m. Friday (April 28) in Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering, Herman & HeddyKurz Atrium. Election to the NAE is among the highest professional distinctions accorded to an engineer. Membership honors those who have made outstanding contributions to engineering research, practice, or education, including contributions to the literature and to the pioneering of new and developing fields of technology.
