Delp receives SPIE award

SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, has named Edward Delp, the Charles William Harrison Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the 2017 recipient of its Technology Achievement Award.

In extending the award, the organization cited Delp's "pioneering work in multimedia security including watermarking and device forensics, and contributions to image and video compression."

The SPIE Technology Achievement Award annually recognizes outstanding technical accomplishment in optics, electro-optics, photonic engineering, or imaging. Recipients are singled out for significant contributions that advance one or more of these areas with specific demonstrations or applications.

Delp will be honored at an upcoming SPIE meeting.
