Event Date: September 25, 2009
For well over 40 years, Prof. George Palmer worked tirelessly to design and create the wind tunnel program that Purdue is known for today. His efforts, along with his students and colleagues have positioned Purdue as one of the premier higher educational institutions in the world for wind tunnel testing. Professor Palmer impacted the lives of thousands of students during his tenure at Purdue with the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

We are proud to announce that the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics will honor George Palmer as the designer of The Boeing Wind Tunnel on Friday, September 25th at 3:00PM at the Aerospace Sciences Laboratory located at the Purdue Airport.

Please join us in this special event for Professor Palmer. We ask that you help spread the word to other alumni and friends who worked with Professor Palmer at Purdue. Please also send your remembrances and pictures of Prof. Palmer or wind tunnel projects. These will be collected and given to George.
