James Gibert
Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering
James Gibert received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University in 2002, 2004, and 2009, respectively.
In 2013, Dr. Gibert joined the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at Clarkson University as an Assistant Professor. Prior to that, he consulted on topics ranging from viscoelastic damping for vibration suppression to structural health monitoring in satellites at MOOG CSA. He consulted while employed as a Visiting Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Clemson University and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University.
Dr. Gibert’s research interests include the dynamic modeling of nonlinear systems, energy harvesting, and modeling of manufacturing systems.
