Yutong (Tony) Xue received the Best Paper by a Young Presenter Award in Noise for his paper “Fibrous material microstructure design for optimal structural damping.” Tony presented his paper at the Spring meeting of the Acoustical Society of America in Minneapolis, MN. He is currently working on his PhD with Prof. J. Stuart Bolton.

Ti’Air Riggins, a PhD student in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering, received the Purdue University Black Graduate Student Association Social Justice/Humanitarian Scholarship Award in May.

Dr. Anahita Modiriasari received the 2018 Dr. Neville G.W. Cook Ph.D. Dissertation Award for the best Ph.D. thesis in rock mechanics and rock engineering.
