WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Arun Gupta, CEO of the NobleReach Foundation and a national leader in technology, entrepreneurship and public service, will be the featured guest in the next installment of Purdue Engineering’s Visionary Voices.

Hosted by Mark Lundstrom, the John A. Edwardson Dean of Purdue University’s College of Engineering, the conversation will begin at 7 p.m. on Sept. 24 at Stewart Center’s Fowler Hall. A book signing with Gupta will follow from 8-8:30 p.m.

Earlier that day, Gupta will participate in a reading and signing of “The Mission Generation: Reclaim Your Purpose, Rewrite Success, Rebuild Our Future,” a book he co-authored. The event, which is co-sponsored by Purdue Libraries, will be held on the third floor of Humanities, Social Science and Education Library from 1:30-3 p.m.

The events will highlight Gupta’s work to rekindle a spirit of national service through innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as his views on preparing the next generation to use technology and business to address major societal challenges.

Purdue Engineering and the NobleReach Foundation announced a partnership in 2024 that led to the creation of the undergraduate Innovation for Public Service certificate. The program gives engineering students an opportunity to look beyond the technical discipline and apply engineering to larger societal problems that align with government needs.

Gupta is a venture capitalist and co-author of “Venture Meets Mission,” a national bestseller. For more than two decades, he has invested in companies at the intersection of technology and national security, working with entrepreneurs focused on creating societal impact.

He also teaches entrepreneurship at Stanford and Georgetown universities, where he has received multiple faculty teaching awards. His approach emphasizes entrepreneurship not only as a path to professional success but also as a platform for purpose.

Gupta holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering from Stanford and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. He frequently speaks at national forums, writes for leading journals and serves on advisory boards focused on technology, policy and innovation.

Through Visionary Voices, Gupta will share his perspective on the role of entrepreneurship in public service and his efforts to inspire the next generation of innovators to pursue both ambition and impact.
