College of Engineering honors 163 staff members with record number of Bravo+ Awards
The Purdue University College of Engineering honored 163 staff members from 20 units with Bravo+ Awards during the 2025-26 fiscal year, recognizing a record number of employees for their outstanding contributions to the college.
Established in 2013 and later expanded with the "+" designation, the Bravo+ Awards celebrate staff members who demonstrate excellence in advancing the university's mission through operational excellence, innovation and creativity, fiscal stewardship, and other significant contributions.
Recipients are nominated by colleagues or supervisors, with awards ranging from $500 to $2,000.
“This year's record number of award recipients reflects the extraordinary talent and commitment of our staff across the College of Engineering,” said Will Sondgerath, senior assistant dean for staff and administration. “Whether they are supporting students, faculty or research, our staff members make meaningful contributions every day that strengthen our college and help Purdue continue to lead in engineering education and innovation.”
The College of Engineering Bravo+ reception will be held Tuesday, Aug. 18 from 1:30-2:30pm in the Armstrong Hall atrium. Light refreshments will be provided. The reception is open to all Bravo+ award recipients, as well as anyone who would like to stop by to congratulate and celebrate the awardees.
Employees who have completed at least three months of service are eligible to receive a Bravo+ Award, with some exceptions.
