The College of Engineering recognized 153 staff members from 20 units with Bravo+ Awards for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. The awards recognize outstanding staff contributions within the College of Engineering. A reception celebrating the award recipients was held Aug. 20, 2025, in the ARMS Atrium.

Established in 2013 and enhanced with the "+" designation in recent years, the awards honor employees who excel in areas like moving the university forward, operational excellence, innovation/creativity and fiscal stewardship. Nominees are selected by colleagues or supervisors and awards range from $500 to $2,000.

“This year, we received a record number of Bravo+ Award nominations — an inspiring reflection of the exceptional dedication and impact our staff bring to the College of Engineering,” said Will Sondgerath, senior assistant dean for staff and administration. “Their contributions are not only vital to the success of the college, but also to the continued excellence of the entire university.”

Employees who have completed three months of service are eligible for Bravo+, with some exceptions.
