Hong Wan

Hong Wan, associate professor in the Purdue University School of Industrial Engineering in Purdue Engineering and director of the Purdue Blockchain Lab, has received a $1.5 million grant from the CollinStar Capital Pty Ltd. to further research into blockchains, distributed databases that maintain a dynamic list of records, secured against tampering and revision. Wan’s lab is the first in the U.S. to study blockchains from an operations research perspective and to work on characterization and application of blockchains to various areas.
