Roshanak (Roshi) Nateghi, assistant professor of Purdue University School of Industrial Engineering and Purdue University EEE in Purdue Engineering, has found that climate change could induce a 5 percent increase for the average commercial building’s energy consumption in Indiana by the year 2100, while reducing an average residential home’s energy use by 3.5 percent. The projections resulted from a new multi-paradigm framework she and her team developed to better account for climate change in energy-economy modeling.
