Celebrating women faculty: CE's/ABE's Konstantina Gkritza
Celebrating women faculty members in honor of National Women’s History Month, March 2018
Research on the Hoosier State train by Konstantina Gkritza, associate professor in the Lyles School of Civil Engineering in Purdue Engineering and Agricultural and Biological Engineering in Purdue Agriculture, dispelled the myth that the only people riding the line were those that lived in the counties along the route. Her findings on the benefits of continuing the passenger rail service in Indiana influenced the Indiana General Assembly’s decision to continue supporting the train.
