Jean Chmielewski

Jean Chmielewski in the Department of Chemistry in Purdue University College of Science and the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering in Purdue Engineering is a pioneer in chemical biology and drug discovery, designing novel chemical approaches and therapeutics for human disease. She is also a member of the Purdue Center for Cancer Research and the Purdue Institute for Drug Discovery in Discovery Park at Purdue University.

As urban populations grow, it’s critical for cities to make room more for more inhabitants while conserving natural resources and constraining emissions. Through her uSMART Lab, Hua Cai, assistant professor in Purdue University EEE and Purdue University School of Industrial Engineering in Purdue Engineering, studies the topic from a systems perspective.
