Elsje Pienaar

Elsje Pienaar, assistant professor in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering in Purdue Engineering, integrates mathematics, engineering and microbiology to develop sophisticated computational models of systems pharmacology that predict drug efficacy at the patient level. Her work could lead to next-generation tools for drug selection and delivery, resulting in the development of more personalized medicine.
