AAE head Tom Shih added to NASA Advisory Council
Dr. Tom Shih, J. William Uhrig and Anastasia Vournas Head and Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics, was appointed as a member of the Aeronautics Committee of the NASA Advisory Council.

Shih began a two-year term in late June on the council that is the senior external advisory body that assists NASA in addressing program and policy matters related to the U.S. civil space program.
Shih joins Dr. Kathleen Howell, the Hsu Lo Distinguished Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics, on the Advisory Council. Howell is continuing in her role on the Technology, Innovation and Engineering Committee.
