ENE PhD student Dandridge showcased in magazine

Purdue Engineering Education PhD student Tikyna Dandridge is featured in an article titled “New Heights in Higher Ed” in a special fall 2017 edition of Diversity in Action magazine.

Dandridge, who earned her master’s degree in mechanical engineering earlier this year, is highlighted for her innovative STEM work on the Purdue campus that focuses on parents and children doing engineering design activities together. She also developed a unique project in which she visits beauty salons to conduct workshops that teach girls about the science and engineering of hairstyling. She currently is working on designing a curriculum and finding funding sources.
